I have replaced the old CTDOXY values and flags with the new. That updated file is attached. The file header now notes that the units have been updated on the bottle nuts and O2 and that the CTDOXY values are updated. These CTDOXY values are clearly calibrated to the bottle oxygen values (slope 1.000+/-0.001, intercept -0.005+ /-0.232, r^2=0.998; stats from my check). The CTDSAL values in the bottle file are just as nicely calibrated to the bottle salt values.
This version has the revised (units change) nutrient and oxygen values sent by Mark Rosenberg (cc from him to you) merged in with the other data. As before, nitrate is really NO3+NO2. Significant differences still exist between these revised data and other occupations of this line
Oxygen and nutrients converted to umol/kg (previous version had these parameters in umol/l). Carbon and CFC data need to be merged into this new file.
In the on-line file the nuts are listed as having units of umol/l rather than the standard /kg. When I imported the file I did not notice this. Consequently, the file I submitted on 4/2/2013 with new parameters, re-labeled the nuts as /kg (there was no conversion, so this is my error).
Only one real question. Steve, can you go to an earlier source and confirm that these values are indeed reported in umol/l units? Let me know and I'll do the conversion (if needed) and resubmit the new file with all available measurements.
If there are other Hobart data sets with this issue, I'd very much appreciate a list so we can check the records.
My error was discovered as part of the GLODAPv2 2nd QC, but there are some other offsets in this same region that could have a similar source (i.e. clerical error rather than measurement problem).
