My colleagues and I all have interests in the WOCE Pacific Repeat Sections, such as: PR18 (PN in Japan), PR19 (IS in Japan), PR20, PR21 and PR17 (part of data encripted through PGP), Japan and Taiwan (as a part of China) contributed a lot to the sections mentioned above . As I know, Japan Meteorological Agency began to conduct on the PN (PR18) Section measurement early in 1954. Since that time, the measurement of PN sention has never been stopped. The time series is quite long (almost 40 years). Therefore, the data of PN section is very precious for the long time series°Ãresearch work indeed, especially for the study of Korushio Watermass and its adjacent water area. Have you got any plan for adding more data of PR 18, PR 19, PR 20, PR21, PR 23, PR 24, PR17, PR 02, PR 03, PR 04 (PN, IS, TK, KD etc. In Japan) sections to your 3rd and final set of WOCE CDs? If °∞yes°Â±, all the users of the world will benefit from you effort and should show our respects to the relative oceanographers from both Japan and Taiwan.
Bottle file was reformatted. -9 were added to blank spaces and column alignment was modified. Bottle file has been converted to exchange format and put online.
