  • Incorrect depth values edited Danie Bartolacci

    Date: 2003-09-17
    Data Type: SUM/BTL
    Action: Website Updated:
    Note:
As per user found error, I have edited the sumfile and recreated the exchange, netcdf, and bottle inventory files for this cruise. (Exchange was found to have incorrect depth values as a result from sumfile formatting errors). Notes on edits will be mailed to Jerry Kappa. All files have been updated.

    Merge notes:

It was brought to our attention that the depth values in the bottle exchange file for this cruise were incorrect (please see email.txt).

After investigation it was discovered that the DEPTH header was misspelled (COR CDEPTH) and had blanks within the column for this parameter (this can make the code work erratically).

    SUM file was edited:

    -Changed CDEPTH to DEPTH.
-Added "----" for all missing BO cast code depth fields
-Edited the WOCE SECT from PR12 to SR03.

Reran exchange conversion code successfully with correct depths.
    Reran netcdf code successfully
Replaced online files with new ones, and RCS'd the actions.

  • Inconsistencies need correcting Bronte Tilbrook

    Date: 2002-01-02

    Action: Update Needed
    Note:
Also, I looked at the web site http://whpo.ucsd.edu/data/tables/repeat/SUBS/SR03_table.htm and noticed a couple of inconsistencies. I am listed for 14C on the SR3 repeats for 09AR9309_1 and 09AR9407_1. These samples were all contaminated by biologists and there is no point listing them as even being collected.

and QUALT2 word) and was renamed sr03_bhy.txt.
            Removed carriage returns.
Removed following line from first header line:
                    STN 1-35: CTD UNIT 4 ; STN 36-63: UNIT 1
            Ran wocecvt with following warnings:

            Changed all WHP-ID's from PR12 to SR03.
ran wctcvt with the following warnings. Date warnings are
due to cast timing from beginning to end of cast.

                    .SUM header was missing:

    Action: Website Updated:
    Note:
All the CTD data associated with me should be made public. I thought we had taken care of this earlier, but it appears not. I'm a little unsure how the DQE process is supposed to work. I think onlytwo of our cruises have so far been DQE'd; if your policy is to not release data publicly until it has been DQE'd, then that is OK too.
