New text and PDF docs online.
No DOC. correct database to indicate no CFC HE/TR C14. Email for DOC and clarification on tracers ever being taken. WOCE fmt CTD. Correct database.
CTD has been converted into exchange and put online.
SUM, CTD and bottle data have been replaced with newly received data. Formatting was done to the files and bottle exchange code was re-run. Old files were moved to original directory.
Preceding zeroes in station and cast numbers were eliminated to match the bottle format. Bottle has been converted to exchange format and put online. Station 119 cast 2 was not included in the exchange file because of missing sumfile navigational information.
CTD files have been modified to conform to WOCE format. Two spaces in each header line were removed in order to align columns. There is still a problem regarding the correct leg designation for this cruise. Sum file and bottle file contain leg 1 and CTD station files all contain leg 2. E-mail correspondence with Kolterman all reference this cruise as leg 1, however our meta data base references this cruise as leg 2.
Reformatted bottle and sum files were placed on the website. old files were moved to the original subdirectory and all references to this cruise have been updated. There is some confusion regarding the leg number for this cruise. Both leg 1 and leg 2 have been referenced in the meta data. Therefore an e-mail has been sent to Kolterman requesting confirmation of cruise leg, as well as a cruise report and information on other outstanding data parameters. Corrections will be made accordingly as per Kolterman's reply.
As per your email on 10.15.1999 I have obtained the G316 cruise from Lynne Talley's website and released all data for the following cruises to the public domain: 06MT30_2 06MT39_3 06GA276_2 06GA316_1
I have obtained two ctd zip files from Lynne's data directory. They belong to AR19 06GA276_2 and A02 06mt39_03 both by Kolterman, they are linked to the public table, currently nonpublic and encrypted pending word from Koltermann. Main tables have been edited to reflect this change.
I see that CTD data for AR19 (06GA276_2) is listed as unavailable. Koltermann supplied it in WHP format for the N. Atlantic PI website, so I do have it.
Dave Muus converted .sum file to our standard WOCE format and called it a02bsu.txt. I changed name of file to ar19_bsu.txt. Changed WOCE SECT from A02B to AR19 re Koltermann by way of Talley and Diggs. Changed EXPOCODE from 06GA276_2 to 06GA276_1, re Koltermann's e-mail to Jerry and .sum from Lynne. Latitude for sta. 115 BE is 43 38.4, BO is 44.39.4, and EN is 44 39.9. In order to put the station in line with the rest of the stations the degrees for BO and EN should be 43. I changed the degrees to 43 for BO and EN. Converted .sea file to our standard WOCE format. .sea EXPOCODE was 06GA276/ changed to 06GA276_1 Changed WHP-ID designation from A02 to AR19. The original file has a column with the heading BIO #. I don't know what that is, but I kept the information and put it just before the QUALT1 information. File has CTDRAW for pressure. Line 593, sta. 55, cast 2 was a blank line except for sta. and cast designation. Deleted line. There are two sta. 119, a cast 1 and a cast 2. The .sum file has only cast 1. Cast 2 has the same values as cast 1 for pressure, bottle salinity and oxygen but some of the CTDTMP and CTDSAL values are different. Oxygen is in ML/L and the nutrients are UMOL/L
