Due to several errors found in online summary file, this file was again reformatted from 3 original sumfiles submitted. Minor column alignment was applied to bottle file and minor header corrections in CTDs were also applied.
NOTE: bottle file stations do not correspond to either CTD or summary file station numbers and OXYGEN is in Ml/L and CTDTMP and THETA are in IPTS-68 scale.
SUM:
Reformatted sumfile for 90VE43_1. Took 3 sumfiles (submitted by J. D. Baker with rest of subduction data and concatenated the three files:
STMZOND1.SUM contained stations 8165-8434 (only odd stations after 8206)
STMZOND2.SUM contained stations 8435-8892
ISTOK.SUM contained even stations 8208-8390 and station 8391, 8759-8763,8779,8780)
STMZOND2.SUM was appended to STMZOND1.SUM and ISTOK.SUM stations were filled into the resultant appended sumfile where necessary.
during the reformatting, it was noticed that several station numbers were duplicated, even though they were labeled all as cast 1 and possessed different times and slightly different locations. Becuase the casts appeared to be unique, the subsequent duplicates were given increasing cast numbers. This was corrected for the following:

Ran sumchk with no errors. Renamed reformatted file ar11_bsu.txt and copied to parent directory. linked online as well.
BOT:
moved Q1 word column left one space. Changed WHP-ID from COMP to AR11. Added name/date stamp.
None of the eight bottles in the bottle file match the summary file in station number. It is unclear if these bottle data correspond to the summary and/or CTD files.
CTD:
Changed all expocodes from 90AV43/1 to 90VE43_1.
Added WHP-ID AR11 to all files.
File 8231.wct was empty and removed.
Attempts at running wctcvt in order to check CTD file formatting failed, it appears due to the excessive number of stations which are out of the codes maximum bounds (693 files, max is 400). However files should be sent off to S. Anderson for confirmation and format checking.
Edited CTD's will be rezipped and placed online. Note will be made in meta database that format checking still needs to occur.
Just finishing up some reformatting for this cruise and noticed that the DOC files for this cruise are to a totally different one. Even though they're named 90VE43_1 in the file name, and also in the edited header of the file, the chief scientist in the DOC was Weller, (not Panteleev) and the ship was the Oceanus (not the AKADEMIK VERNADSKY). Basically it looks like this DOC file is for
a cruise by Weller which would look something like 32OC240_3, which I think we may have removed at Weller's request.
So there is no DOC file up for 90VE43_1.
CTD was converted to exchange and put online. File 8231.wct from the original CTD's is an empty file. NetCDF code was run and zipped, inventory file also in the directory.
No ChiSci info to make peopl.htm file. database does not indicate BOT in. Get ChiSci info. create people.htm file and link. Correct database for BOT. Rfmt all WOCE files. investigate why exchg does not work on BOT CTD
New pdf & txt docs online
This cruise has been put online. Index page was made and files were linked. There is a mismatch in station/casts between bottle and sumfile that has not been corrected. The CTD zip file is a collection of both directories istok/ and minizond/ from the subduction data submission.
The three files LISTOK.SUM, STMZOND1.SUM and STMZOND2.SUM contained sumfile information with different station numbers. The three files were merged together and small reformatting was done to the new file.

Files were found in incoming directory under whp_reports. This directory was zipped, files were separated and placed under proper cruise. All of them are sum files.
