No reformatting of CTD files was necessary, however the station numbers of the CTD files were edited, see below: Sum file called CD62A.SUM was edited to correct column alignment and include section number. This sumfile contained alphanumeric station numbers which match the ctd files. It also contained 2 additional stations corresponding to the CTD station files that were not included in the bottle file or in the sum file cd62fnl.sum (27 stations total). Information was for BE cast codes only. Sum file cd62fnl.sum contained numeric station numbers that matched those in the bottle file, but not the ctd files. It contained BO cast codes only for 25 stations. Therefore, the two summary files were edited together into one summary file and the station numbers edited to the numeric stations. The CTD files were then edited to match the numeric station numbers and then converted to exchange and netcdf. sumchk ran error free as did wctcvt using that edited combined sumfile. New sumfile replaced previous online file and all CTD files were placed online. New web pages were generated and all actions RCS'd.
New odf and txt docs online. Word DOC fie replaced with .txt file.
I've painstakingly created an electronic version of the cruise report for CD62A. This is complete, apart from an XBT stations Excel file. Both are attached.
Thank you for the data update, I have downloaded all the pertinent files. Dennison Martin Gould wrote: I have delta oxygen-18 data from the Convex cruise Charles Darwin 62 (AR12 / AR07E) and both CTD and bottle data from the cruise Charles Darwin 62a (ERS-1 cal-val). Just ftp to ftp.pol.ac.uk and they are under the directory pub/bodc/demg/whpo. There are 2 files for CD62. A file with all parameters (CD62.SEA) and a file with just O-18 (CD62.O18). BODC never received the O-18 data with sample numbers and so would not be able to provide them anyway. Note for CD62A CTD oxygen (and fluor and trans - not listed) : This data has been received but there were problems with the calibration coefficients supplied during the cruise and the data originators have stated that the data should not be used. This data has therefore not been entered into the BODC database. I include 2 Word files on these cruises CTD and bottle data which are fairly complete.
