- This Exchange CTD file was originally submitted with file ID 20060921JAMSTECIORGC.
This file extracted from 3655_archive2064.tar,
and processed into the Dataset to replace existing Exchange and wocd_netcdf files.
- On 2008-03-16 there is a history note on the webpage under "Data History":
"All files (SUM/CTD/BOT) online for all formats (WOCE/EXCHANGE/netCDF).
Some parameters not in exchange/netcdf, will be corrected in future versions
of online files. (entered by S. Diggs)". This new processing of the
original submission corrects the previous online version:
-- CTDXMISS was in the previous online version even though no data were submitted;
-- CTDFLUOR was ommitted from previous online version even though data were submitted;
-- CTDOXY was submitted with format %0.2f but the previous online version was rounded to %0.1f
- Renamed files to conform to CCHDO standard. Put orignator file name in file as comment
- Changed EXPOCODE from 49MR0502_1 to 49NZ20050525
- CTDFLUOR: changed parameter name from FLUOR to CTDFLUOR
- CTDFLUOR: changed units from MG/CUM to MG/M^3
- did not replace the Dataset WOCE ctd file p10_49NZ20050525ct.zip (id 7953) as it is
exactly the same as the originally submitted files. Also, data from the
Dataset WOCE ctd file p10_49NZ20050525ct.zip exactly matches the Exchange format CTD file 49MR0502_1_ct1.zip
found in the archive_2064.tar file.

Exchange and NetCDF Bottle File Replacement

The bottle files for this cruise have been replaced per the notes
below. No data was changed or introduced.
EXCHANGE BOTTLE FILE
I replaced the online exchange bottle file with a submission from Alex
Kozyr made on 2009-04-24
The new file contains the following additional parameter columns:

* PH_TEMP and PH_TOT replaced the PH column, PH_FLAG_W remains the
same, as per a new policy from April 2009.

* Uncertainty parameters SILUNC, NRAUNC, NRIUNC, and PHPUNC were not
processed with previous versions of data software used by the CCHDO to
convert WOCE bottle files to exchange, though they were included in
the previous version of the WOCE bottle file (WOCE bottle file notes
below).

The new file removes duplicates at the following stations: 140, 114,
113, 110, 108, 106, 105, 100, 98, 97, 62, 45, 44, 39, 37, 33, and 31.
The new file includes stations 1-25 which were cut-off in the previous
online Exchange file. The new file corrects for typo in units for
several parameters which were shifted to the left, introduced by the
format conversion software due to SBE35 precision being higher than
allowed by the fixed width necessary in the WOCE format.
The following edits were made to the submission:
- Trailing commas removed
- SECT changed to SECT_ID
- The following units were changed

LATITUDE from "DEG" to ""
LONGITUDE from "DEG" to ""
DEPTH from "M" to "METERS"
PH_TMP from "ITS-90" to "DEG C"

WOCE BOTTLE FILE
The WOCE bottle file for this cruise already included all of the new
parameters included in the submission as well as the missing stations
1 through 25 and no duplicates, so these corrections were not
necessary. It has several samples removed which had no corresponding
bottle measurements, these samples were left in the Exchange file. The
WOCE bottle file was not replaced, and still has the PH column without
PH_TEMP.
NETCDF BOTTLE FILE
NetCDF bottle file created using exctd_to_netcdf.pl (M Shen)
Both Exchange and NetCDF bottle files opened in JOA with no apparent problems.
Stations 1-25 missing in Exchnage and NetCDF Bottle file. Corrected files to be posted to the CCHDO website in a day or two.
