Here are my notes for the TIP cruise (ir06e, 35MF200009). Files with ctd data were submitted. One file had data at every 10db for stations 1 to 75. The other files were at 1db intervals for stations 2, 9-75. I stripped the headers and formatted them into a .sum file. The latitudes and longitudes were in decimal degrees. I converted the decimal degrees to degrees and minutes to two decimal places. I didn't know the CAST TYPE, EVENT CODE, or NAV, so I set them to UNK. Sta.33 cast 2 had a date of 092100. Comparing the dates and times of surrounding stations I think the day should be 20, so I changed it. I reformatted the 1db files and, converted the oxygen from ml/l to umol/kg. Added files for stas. 1, 3-8 from the 10db files. All .wct files have fluorometer data. Sta. 9 at 387 and 390db and sta. 10 at 2091, 2581, and 2582 have negative oxygens. I left the values as is. I made an exchange file, but the fluorometer data is not in the exchange file. These data need to be put online. Sarilee Anderson May 3, 2006
The ctd data (that is all we have) does not have QUALT flags. Should I set them to 2's or leave them out. I don't know what happens when converting to the exchange format if they don't exist.
Michele has transmitted to me your last e-mail exchange. As I am in the lab today, I put on the Ordinary Post the paper report for the TIP cruise, and on my personal Web page the CTD data. You can get them on (URL)
