The pH values have been updated. This file was part of a batch of replacements sent as a tar archive.
After Sarilee helped find problems with the newly reformatted CTD and sumfiles, I have remade all exchange and netCDF files for the bottle and CTD files. Conversions were error-free. I have sent original WOCE reformatting notes to Jerry for both bottle and CTD files. These supercede Sarilee's recent reformatting notes.
BOT: I have reformatted the bottle file into woce format. The flags for this file were not labeled as to which parameters they belonged to. Nor were there enough flags for all parameters. Also, all flags were set to "2" even though some columns had missing values. These flags were not used and new flags were inserted into the file for the purposes of conversion to exchange and netCDF files. Only typical woce DQE'd parameters were flagged. If a value was present, it was considered "good" and flagged with a "2". If a missing value (-9's were added to file which previously contained blanks) was present "5" flag was used. Parameters flagged were: BTLNBR, CTDSAL, SALNTY, OXYGEN, SILCAT, NITRAT, NITRIT, PHSPHT Station 31 Cast 1 Bot 3 contained a CTDSAL of 336.0786. This was edited to 36.0786. 2003.12.16 DMB Reformatted AR16_e CTD files from one continuous .csv file. Converted file to WOCE-formatted CTD files first by via code. Then used in-house software to convert files to exchange and netCDF. Following edits were made to format and/or convert: -split all stations into individual files. -Converted date into WOCE formatted date. -Did not include soundspeed in WOCE files. -Had to insert missing values for CTDOXY and NO. OBS to get software to convert files into exchange. -Had to add Q1 flags to all data. If values present, "2" was used, if missing value was present "5" was used. This was necessary for code to function during conversion to exchange. -Eight stations had no depth record in the sumfile. These depths in the converted exchange and subsequent netCDF files are listed as zero. It is unclear if this is an acceptable value at this time, therefore it should be noted in the documentation for this cruise. STations are: 35,39,41-43,46,49,50
Danie was having trouble getting the ctd files through wctcvt and asked me to check them. I made changes where indicated. I also found some problems with the .sum file and made those changes. Put new ctd .zip file and new .sum file online. New exchange and netcdf files need to be made for ctd files and bottle file because of the changes in the .sum file.
WOCE section AR16_E, EXPOCODE 29CSMORENA_1 Danie asked me to check the ctd files because she was having trouble getting them through wctcvt. All files had the incorrect value in RECORD=, I corrected them. Added the _1 to the EXPOCODE in all the ctd files. Sta. 12 had a duplicate pressure at 100.0db. All the values were the same for all parameters, so I deleted one of the lines. Stas. 20 and 25 had salinity values of -9.000, but the Q1 flags were 2. I changed the Q1 flags to 9. Sta. 28 had the month as 04 for BE and EN in the .sum file and 05 in the ctd file. Since all the surrounding stations were 05 I changed the month for sta. 28 in the .sum file to 05. Sta. 74 had the day as 24 for BE, (time is 2345) and day as 24 for EN (time is 0005) in the .sum file. The day in the ctd file was 23. I changed the day to 23 for BE in the .sum file. The latitude and longitude is only listed for BE, it is blank for EN.

Corrected station track image files and linked new files to index page.
BOT CTD very unformatted (csv). .jpg stn track needs scaling down (way too large). SUM ok. Correct Database. Remake .jpg of station track. WOCE fmt BOT CTD and create exchg.

2000.11.21 KJU File contained here is CRUISE SUMMARIES and NOT sumfiles. Files listed below should be considered WHP DOC files. Documention is online. 2000.10.11 KJU Files were found in incoming directory under whp_reports. This directory was zipped, files were separated and placed under proper cruise. All of them are sumfiles. Received 1997 August 15th.
Added SUM file to website. There is a bottle file, but it has one line of data. It is located in the original directory and has not been added to the website.
