CTD files were converted to exchange, netcdf and inventory was made. WOCE CTD files had increasing station numbers, these were changed to match the ones in the sumfiles. Because there are two files with station MP12 cast 4 but with different dates, the latter one was changed to MP12B to distinguish between the files. The two first files in the zip (95050001.WOC 95050003.WOC) were not included in the conversion because of lack of navigational information in the sumfile. MP26 stations in the CTD were changed to PRS1 because the dates match such stations in the sumfile.
Bottle and sumfile were reformatted. Data contained tab separations, all columns were replaced with white space instead of tabs and columns were formatted accordingly. Bottle file does not have enough quality control values.
SUM and Bottle data were modified to be .txt documents and were put online. Index file was modified accordingly.
These two cruises did have bottle and summary files as well as CTD. Only CTD was previously indicated as being in WHPO. All are now indicated as public on the table, however sum and bot files for both cruises are in .xls spreadsheet format and will not be put up. Investigators will need to contact WHPO for data until these data are reformatted for the web. CTD data is unencrypted and linked for both cruises.
All the data that IOS has submitted either for PR05 & PR06, or for P1W and P15N can be made available to the public. Most of these data are already archived at MEDS and published. An appendix to the Deep-Sea Res II volume (46) for Canadian JGOFS contains the PR06 T/S, nuts and oxygen data for the upper 1000 m for the 1995-97 period. It has always been our plan that data would be available within two years of collection.
