Expocode: 06BE20030525 Ship: Sonne Woce Line: AR04 Note: I started with the files you have on-line. I extracted CTDOXY from the ctd files and added into the bottle file. I revised the header information to reflect why all the bottle oxygen values were flagged 3/4. This was after discussions with Reiner Steinfeldt. Monika Rhein was in on the conversations. Even though the bottle oxygen values are all flagged 3/4, we thought the data OK to calibrate the CTDOXY, in other words, that the bottle oxygen problems had only caused a random error. If this assumption is wrong, it should show up in GLODAPv2 testing. I've attached the oxygen calibration figure for your archives.

A couple of years ago I delivered data from the following German cruises
in the tropical Atlantic to the WOCE/CLIVAR data center:

The data were embargoed until 2006, but should be free now. I can find
the file information for the above mentioned cruises on the CDIAC
server, but I cannot find the files for download. It would be fine if
you could provide the data files for downloading.
"Details about the 1990-1994 data as well as the measurement techniques and intercomparisons are given in Rhein et al. (1995;1998), and Andrie et al. (1998, 2002). Both sections, the 35°W and the 5°S section have been sampled during METEOR cruises M14 (October 1990), M16 (June 1991), M22 (November 1992), M27 (March 1994), M47 (March 2000), M53 (June 2002) , the CITHER 1 cruise (March 1993). The data from October – November 2000 were taken during two subsequent cruises with the german research vessel SONNE (cruises S151 and S152), the data from June 2002 were taken during cruise M53/2 with RV METEOR."
