This tar file contains the CTD data from the repeat
hydrography sections at SR1 - Drake Passage - carried
out in 1993, 1994, 1996.

Each of the three directories contains a .SUM file and
separate CTD files for each station. The work was
carried out on RRS James Clark Ross in piggy-back mode.

In 1993 and 1994, no cruise number was allocated by Britsh
Antarctic Survey. Expocode has been built as Cruise 0 Leg 1
for 1993 and Cruise 0 Leg 2 for 1994. In 1996 the work
was allocated a cruise number in the ship's series, and
became Cruise 16.

The files have been assembled in rather a hurry, so apologies
for any errors in format. However, the format is intended to
fulfil 90-1 rev 2 May 1994.

Corrected water depth has been reported in the .SUM files, since
that is the quantity that was stored alongside our CTD data.

The SR1 section can be assembled north to south using
sequential increasing cruise numbers in 1993 and 1996. For 1994 omit
stations 02 (test station) and 23 (extra station off track).
In 1994, a failing conductivity cell on the first three
stations of the section (03, 04, 05) renders the CTD data
unrecoverable.

Oxygen was not measured on the cruises.
