Cruise Narrative 1.1 Highlights Expedition Designation - EXPOCODE 49KF9010/1 Kofu Maru Cruise KO9010 Chief Scientist: Naoshi Kubo, Hakodate Marine Observatory Ship: R/V Kofu Maru Port of call: Shiogama Cruise Dates: October 20 to October 31, 1990 1.2 Cruise Summary Observations of PR03N (North of 34N on section PR03) were carried out on board the R/V Kofu Maru on Cruise KO9010. The ship sailed from Shiogama at 0500 UTC on 20 October 1990. At 2356 UTC on 24 October, we arrived at the southernmost station along the section PR03N and started observations. Because of trouble with Ocean Data Buoy No. 21001 at 36.7N, 145.7E we discontinued PR03N observations after station KO5738 and went to the buoy to inspect it. We resumed taking stations along PR03N at 1331 UTC on 28 October. The performance of the CTD, multisampler and other instruments was good throughout the cruise. The repeat of PR03N was completed 1040 UTC on 30 October. 1.3 Principal Investigators The principal investigators for all the parameters measured on the cruise are listed in Table 1. Table 1.
