Attached please find the latest version of the bottle data file from this cruise. The file now contains station dates. Adding these dates was difficult because the web site that had the dates + locations + partial data did not record station numbers. Two new stations have been added which we gave numbers 37 & 39. The data were sorted by station number, so some of the dates are "out of order". The only header line in the data file has my internal parameter names, but I think you will recognize everything. Units are WOCE standard. I assigned all the flag values. There is one more He3 value (44-4440-2) I normally would have flagged 3, but didn't due to the region. This data set has been particularly difficult to reassemble so clerical errors are a real possibility. As always, if you disagree with any of my flags, find other errors or have additions for the data or metadata file please let me know. Credit for rescuing the dates and other new information to Xiaohua Lin who is now helping me on data assembly, records, etc. Other than knowing that it occurred, I still have no data/information/etc. for the 3rd JADE cruise which was, I think, called TIP2000 or something similar. I know of no "synthesis" activity for the Indian Ocean, so for now these data will just be posted at CCHDO and will be used for Lynne's atlas work.

The latitudes and longitudes in the 1992 JADE file are incorrect. What is listed as XX.YY is degrees (XX) and minutes (YY) rather than degrees and decimal. We've found a file which has correct values and will correct.

St,cast,lat,long,press,depth,pot T,S ,O2 ,F12,F11 Sarilee and all - here are the bottle data from JADE 1 and JADE 2, which are called IR06C and IR06D. I got the files that are called jade... from Michele Fieux last February for a project I was doing and didn't know if they were public or not, so didn't forward them to you. A few weeks ago, I followed links in your ir06c doc file and arrived at Michele Fichaut, who is archiving these two data sets. She sent the JADE 2 data set (IR06D) in two formats. She has not yet finished with JADE1, as you'll see from her message. However, I think the data files I got from Fieux are as complete as what we would get later from Fichaut. There are still missing parameters in IR06C: tritium, helium especially, some carbon parameters. But you'll be able to tell which from your doc files.

Are the latitudes and longitudes of the original .sum files in decimal degrees, or degrees and minutes? The positions in our current .sum files all have minutes that are no higher than ~ 35.
