C14 and C13 values and flags were sent by Bob Key on 2008.09.02.   
original files named
I08Sc14QC.csv.  Minor edits to header were made to use with merging  
script.

Updated CDOM sent by Norm Nelson on 2008.06.18.  File header was  
edited and file converted
to .csv in order to use with merging script.

TDN and DOC sent by Alex on 2008.03.14.  File was ready to use with  
merging script.

Used current exchange bottle file to merge data into.  However because
the current file was created before the updated exchange converting  
software
it is lacking PH, PCO2 and CDOM values because they were not  
recognized by
the old software.  This means these parameters are present in the WOCE  
formatted
file, but not exchange.  Upon inspecting the WOCE file, PH and PCO2  
were not
reported.  CDOM was reported but will however be getting updated  
values which are
to replace the previously merged values..  Therefore, the current  
exchange file
was able to be used for merging. The lack of PH and PCO2 values in the  
file will
be confirmed with Alex.

Merged DELC14, C14ERR, DELC13 and flags using merge_exchange.rb with  
no errors
detected during the merge.

Merged TDN and DOC and respective flags using merge_exchange.rb with  
no errors
detected during merging.

Merged CDOM325,CDOM340,CDOM380,CDOM412,CDOMSL,CDOMSN and associated  
flags using
merge_exchange.rb with no errors detected.

Final working merged file named  
i08s_33RR20070204_mrgd_c14_doc_cdom_hy1.csv.
Renamed file to i08s_33RR20070204_hy1.csv.  All merged results file  
are named
i08s_33RR20070204_mrgdXXX_results where XXX equals each parameter  
merged.
Created WOCE formatted and netCDF files with no errors generated  
during conversion.

Viewed resultant files in JOA and plotted merged parameters, no  
problems were
encountered.

Compared merged exchange file to previous unmerged file from both  
online and from CDIAC
with no discrepancies.

Moved current online versions to original subdir and renamed.  Placed  
newly created files online
and ran cchdo_update script.

This replaces previously submitted data based on new instrument calibration.

Merging notes for TCARBN into i08s_2007

TCO2 data was submitted by Alex Kozyr on 09.18.2007
Data were in .csv format, however they were first
merged into the WOCE formatted bottle file then
the file was converted to exchange format. 

There were no errors encountered during merging of
these data into the WOCE formatted bottle file,
however the format of the file could not be checked
using wocecvt due to the non-WOCE parmaters included
in the file.

The WOCE bottle file converted to exchange format with
no errors.

exchange or netcdf files for this cruise.  Once the
citation is created I will prepend it to the exchange
file and zip it with the netcdf files.

New files were placed online and old files were moved
to the original directory

I just put i08s_2007.do.txt in my public directory on the old cchdo.ucsd.edu.  Would you put it into the correct directory and let me know when it's online?

All the I8S/I9N WHP-format data files are on the "donald" computer.

We may rewrite the ".sea" files to report collected-but-not-yet- analyzed samples before all is said and done.  It means modifying the database,  I'll keep you posted.

Here's a pdf report of Jim's 2007 i08s cruise that should work for now.  No links or data processing notes, but all the PI and ODF documentation is there.
