regarding the S4P C13/C14. The analyses are not yet finished on these samples. NOSAMS does not charge the CLIVAR program for these analyses. Consequently, the number that they can analyze per year is strictly limited. Once the analyses are complete, QC and submission of final data can be (and usually is) very quick. I do not know where in the queue the S4P samples lie, but they are run on a "first in - first out" basis. Cruises in final QC include P06, I06S, I09N, I05, A13.5 and 2 collaborative cruises that Bill did with European colleagues (ANDREX-1&2). This means that S4P, a German cruise completing the prime meridian line (A12) and crossing the Weddell Sea, and another German cruise in the Med. (and I think I've forgotten one more) are in the works.

I don't know if there are seriously flawed CFC and SF6 data or not. There appears to be an offset in F11 for the first 14 or 15 stations from preliminary plots that I have seen, but I haven't a chance to look at the data. Data from these stations are certainly not ready for use in research and should be stripped from the online holdings. As usual we will go through the entire data set and remove bad standard and blank runs and recalculate all of the data. Usually this does not change ship board values for most of the data by more than 5%, but we also usually find some flyers that are flagged as bad. The user needs to be aware of this.
